If you&#8217;re interested in the search for gold you&#8217;ll be able to learn about one method of mining in this video.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re mining on Holloway Bar on McDame Creek in the Cassiar Mountains in northern BC, near where BC&#8217;s largest gold nugget at 73 ounces was found.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/270971727\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>These short videos originated from the Holloway Bar Streaming Camera that&#8217;s watching the mining in the 2010 season. I captured two segments approximately 30 or 40 minutes long and this is the result. The first part &#8211; mining with the cat &#8211; was the last day the cat was used exclusively for this dig. The loader &#8211; used, but new to this project &#8211; arrived the next day and was quickly put to work after a pre-job service. The second video segment with the loader was taken on the first day the loader was put to work on Holloway Bar.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/5306084\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A short time lapse of a drive through the Ningunsaw pass, a remote section of Highway 37 in Northern BC.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/270971148\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This started off as just a couple of random timelapses that I work on from time to time, but once it was organized a little and music added, it seemed to come to life. The images for these came from several of the hollowaybar.com webcams &#8211; sometimes from a compilation of images uploaded to the website (I try to archive these to the tune of about 10,000 images a week &#8211; probably about 3 or 4 million images now taking up almost 500 gigabytes of storage at the moment).
