June 2020

Hello everyone.  Wow so sorry for being awol for the mouth of June.  Its been the first summer off in my life !  I have been running wild. Helped Glaza with her flower planting.  Trips to the lake home, so much to do there !  The weather has been up and down but when its nice in the mornings or evening I try and get out and FLY !  Its is the craziest thing I have done with both feet on the ground.  Now that I have a good grasp on what I’m doing with Mavic 2 Pro look out !  This is just another tool in the gold-mining toolbox to go out and hunt for gold.  MinerMan and his pack of wild dogs.

Kenneth Stuart McNevin

Rest In Peace My Friend.  I worked with Ken for years in the S/E Yukon woods.  My job was to move oil, Kens job was to keep it moving !  I call Ken The Commander.  Heavydutymechanic, Logger, Miner, RoadBuilder.  Ken took no shit from no one !  My story that comes to mind is early one morning I was having trouble and Ken came out to the face where I was cutting.  Feller Buncher and it was a big machine !  Ken had a comealong and was right on top of the buncher doing a pull on the hyd tank.  It had come loose.  The cable on the comealong let go !  SNAP and ken went flying a good 25 feet to the ground !  And there was blood every where !  Wow,  I new my friend was in trouble, big trouble !  I grabbed the box of clean rags and got to him fast, he was completely knocked out !  Ken had cut his throat from his chin in.  I grabbed him good from behind and with the rags got psi on it.  It was then Ken came back to life and wanted to fight me like right now !  WOW I did a little chatting and let him know just what went down and he melted back into my arms.  With a repack with clean rags and a bush jacket to tie it all together.  Kens head looked big real big !  Into the truck and off I drove ! 4×4 logging roads for 30km.  The men in camp saw us go by and called it in, I was coming and needed help !  Out on to the highway and l drove another 80km to the Watson Hospital and they were waiting for us ! Ken was whisked off for repair.  I took the rest of the day off.  The call came and Ken was going to make it.  He was a lucky boy that day.  One week later Ken was back in the woods working. Mr. Kenneth Stuart McNevin one of the toughest men I have had the pleasure to know on this plant earth.  God Bless Ken And His Family.  He will be missed.

Cutting The Ice Out

I got at it and cut out the remainder of the ice and snow in the back yard.  The sun will have the remainder of the ice gone in no time.  I loving running the hoe.  Wow it is Quick and Quiet
