Miss Busy and I made it into camp ok ! Wow we just made the walk in and just got in the camp house and a big storm hit ! Wow lightning big time ! The Portal is open ! We stayed indoors and had a few coffees and let it pass. I then got to moving the loads in ! Its been a very few interesting days already ! We are all suffering with the sore feet thing, we’ve just all been making the miles big time ! Just put the Stream Engine on line tonight ! My first post from Rock City
The Art Of Packing
Wow the packing is going great ! I never unpacked it so its all good to go ! That is packing the Miner Man way ! After 30 years of the spring to summer move and be ready for fall, the gear is packed in Rubbermaids. I like it this way there is no waste, no cardboard boxes ! Packing is an art of it’s own and Glaza is the best at it ! When packing food there is only one way and that is the right way ! You want things to stay frozen well, then wrap it in newspaper, yes newspaper! It’s crazy how good it works along with ice blocks that is how Glaza moves the Ice Cream into camp without melting it ! Her dad showed us that one ! An old trick they used in the 30s, wow what is old is new again ! I miss her dad, he was a big part of our lives. I like to think he is still in the gold hunt with us as a family !
Running On Breakfast
Breakfast, well if you can eat it at 0600h very good, but not for this miner, I like coffee and more coffee and to settle the tummy with a peanut butter and jam for this man ! The big breakfast, eat at around 1300h and run hard on it all day long. Glaza cooked up a breakfast this morning that if I do not eat again well I will not die of hunger ! Miner Man’s leftovers from last nights hamburger cook up ! Glaza had thought I killed and cooked the hole cow by the big fry stink up ! Moooooo

Wow now that the North Land Lakes are opening up there is water and magic everywhere ! Everything is taking a run at life in the Land Of The Mid Night Sun! Spring and what it brings, life and adventure.

Glaza’s Miner Report
Glaza came to me and asked if I would hold off so she can go into the Gold Mine with me this 2018 spring. I was all for pulling out ahead of her but then rethinking, wow yes what is a day either way ! We will go in together and the company and help will be great. I think she worries a little more about me and starting to think the old miner does not have it in him to get the job done ! She knows what it takes to get the work done and she is right ! The timing will be just about right, in camp before June. The snow report was no snow but snow up high ! All good but I like to try to get on Mt. water rather then river water. Drinking water, power, wash house all the good water comes off the Mt. top ! The river will be dirty with spring run off ! Glaza knows when I get to the mine that I will be flat out moving for three to four days to get living and she will be there with her Miss Busy to watch over her Miner Man, Safety First, My girls watch my back and I love them for it, Miner Man
