Wow with 8 old layers and all the old tar poured over every repair what a mess ! The nails were unreal ! Like hanging onto a porcupine and every now and then you get poked ! The weight of the old roofing alone. It is the fire hazard it all is, tar burn good and when there is a mess like that it burns good.
Well it was nasty and a flat out 10 days every day ! I can see why there was no help on this job. Every contractor in town is flat out and had no time to even look at it ! MinerMan put on the carpenter tool belt and went to work. I had promised Glaza that her roof in the shop where here car is will not leak on her one more time. It was bad and needed love. It went from this to this !
September is right here ! I have a few more big things to get done like every other Yukoner out there !
I got back to work moving earth with JHE and got the rest of the yard flat and ready for a little nice clean gravel here and there to make things nice nice ! Dog pen and up against the house.
By the big shit eating smile on my face you can see we had a good trip home. It was nice to pull in to a rest area and rest! Izzi just loved the walks in a Yukon that is seeing changes as fall sets in. Snow on the Mt tops make for cool air in the valleys.
