Teeth And Your Health

Wow what a few days it has been ! Living in the S/E Yukon we do our trip a spring to the dental office in Whitehorse and get work completed before going into the Mts. for the summer gold run. I am very grateful for this very hard working team that I have grown to just love, they take good care of me,  big thank you from Miner Man

I did a lot of running around picking up the last of the little things we needed to get going. What I can not get in my little home town, like beef bones for Miss Busy, she has to chew, dogs chew ! All good for her teeth ! My last stop is always Stacey’s Butcher Block, wow if I have a dollar left in my pocket Stacey gets it. This place is the place !   Now you know my secret spot for the best there is in the Yukon.

Video Classics – Birds and Buses

More than gold mining happens on Holloway Bar…   Time is taken to make sure that nature is taken care of, every day, and that things look neat and tidy all the time.  A clean and organized camp and work site is essential!

First up is the story of Jack and Jill, the baby flycatchers that were abandoned and rescued by Scott and Christina one summer…  Then, follow along with Scott and Al as they tackle a big job – Painting the old school bus.  Enjoy!

We discovered a couple of abandoned baby birds last July and started to feed them with the hopes they’d grow big and strong enough to migrate south for the winter.

We finally got tired of the crappy colour on the old Holloway Bar school bus so decided a paint job was in order.

Have you ever painted a school bus? Here’s how to do it…
